Join us for Omega Psi Phi fraternity’s annual book dedication to HCPL in honor of Black History Month. Hear author Dr. B.K. Edmond talk about this year's title and his book, "The Quiltmakers" (his sister Ms. Cassandra Edmond is co-author). Wonder why Black women are dying at 3 times higher rates surrounding childbirth? This book is dedicated ”to the mothers of the African American Community who unselfishly give life to our future while risking their own. It is for the sisters, daughters, cousins, aunts, wives, girlfriends and lovers who participate willingly in the beautiful creative revolutionary act of birth; thus, affirming daily each black child’s value to this world.” Thank you to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity for your generous donations.
